Privacy Policy

Cuka is designed to organize media without uploading your photo library to Cuka servers. This policy explains what the app and website process.
1. Media and on-device analysis
Cuka may access photos, videos, Live Photos, metadata, and folders you explicitly authorize. Smart Score, people and expression signals, duplicate detection, similarity grouping, video frame analysis, and location grouping run on your device. Cuka does not upload your photo library to its own servers.
2. Local data
Indexes, thumbnails, analysis results, favorites for external sources, and cleanup records are stored on your device. External-source indexes are stored locally. Removing an external source removes Cuka’s authorization and local index, not the source files or its Cuka Trash contents.
3. Cloud and file providers
If an original exists only in iCloud Photos or a cloud-backed folder, Apple or your selected file provider may download it when needed. Their processing is governed by their policies.
4. Diagnostics
Cuka may use Apple MetricKit summaries for crashes, hangs, CPU, disk writes, and launch issues. Application logs are designed not to include photo identifiers, file paths, media metadata, full diagnostic payloads, or call stacks.
5. Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Cuka receives purchase entitlement information but not your payment card details. Purchase records are handled under Apple’s policies.
6. Optional sharing rewards
If you voluntarily join a sharing reward, only the notes, posts, screenshots, and contact details you choose to submit are sent for review. Cloudflare processes the submission; selected evidence may be analyzed by an AI service and reviewed by a person when needed. This optional workflow is separate from photo-library analysis.
7. Website
This static website does not require an account and does not set advertising cookies. Cloudflare may process standard network and security data when serving the site.
8. Your choices
You control photo and folder permissions in system settings. You can delete Cuka’s local data by removing sources, rebuilding the local index, or deleting the app. Media moved to Cuka Trash remains recoverable until you empty that trash.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Questions or deletion requests for optional reward submissions can be sent to support@cuka.app.
