JPEG, HEIC, PNG, TIFF and the RAW formats iOS can decode, plus MOV, MP4, M4V, Insta360 .insv and GoPro MAX .360 videos.
Files that belong together
RAW + JPEG pairs, Live Photo pairs, XMP sidecars, GoPro and Insta360 LRV/THM files and Sony proxy folders are recognized. Previews use proxies; edits and exports always use the original.
Recoverable deletes on the drive
Cleaned-up files move to a .cuka-trash folder on the same source and can be restored to their original paths until you empty Cuka Trash.
Fast rescans
When you return to the app, Cuka checks a folder fingerprint and rescans only what changed. Unchanged files aren't read again.
Your ratings, your favorites
Star ratings, Picks and Rejects in XMP sidecars guide Smart Select. Favorites for external files are kept in Cuka and never written into your files.

Frequently asked questions
Does Cuka import SD card photos into my Photos library?
No. Cuka works directly with the files in the folder you choose. Nothing is imported unless you export something yourself.
What happens when I remove a folder source?
Cuka removes only its bookmark, index and preview cache. Your files, and anything in the source's .cuka-trash folder, stay where they are.
Can I use cloud folders or network drives?
Cuka works with any folder the Files app can open, including iCloud Drive and cloud providers that appear in Files. It has no built-in FTP, SMB or S3 connection.
Does Cuka find duplicates across different sources?
Groups are built within the source you're viewing. Cuka doesn't merge duplicates across different folders or with your Photos library.
